What is on the ground at Jahu. Remove anything the school does not have — overstating facilities is the fastest way to lose a parent on a visit.
Facilities
- Classrooms. Ventilated rooms with natural light, arranged so a teacher can reach every desk.
- Science laboratories. Physics, Chemistry and Biology practical work as prescribed for the Board classes.
- Computer room. Machines for timetabled computer periods from the middle classes upward.
- Library. Reference books, subject readers and periodicals, with a reading period in the timetable.
- Playground. An open ground used for the daily games period, athletics and the annual sports day.
- Transport. Buses on fixed routes to the surrounding panchayats. Route details are available at the office.
- Drinking water. Filtered drinking water points on the campus.
- Sanitation. Separate toilet blocks for girls and boys, cleaned daily.
- First aid. A first aid room with a trained attendant, and a tie-up for referral to the nearest hospital.
Beyond the classroom
Activities run alongside the timetable rather than after it, so that students who travel in by bus are not excluded from them.
- Morning assembly, with students taking turns to lead
